We've been very lucky to have had Nicola join at the time she did. Nicola wasted no time in turning around Amnesty's fundraising projects, introducing new programs and diversifying Amnesty's revenue streams. She's well respected throughout our organization as someone on top of the issues, as a thought leader within the management team and as someone who gets to best out of her and others' teams. I have especially enjoyed Nicola's positive attitude, strong project management skills and the genuine partnership in affecting large-scale transformational change.

    • National Direct Donor Marketing Coord
      • Jan 2009 - May 2011

The national team of the Heart Foundation is an internal shared service department, serving the Heart Foundation’s divisions by coordinating national programs. This was a high-level project management position, responsible for acquisition, direct mail and retention across multiple national programs, with a focus on major donors. As a result of implementing many new initiatives, the position also involved frequent board engagement and remote coordination of fundraising personnel in every Heart Foundation division. Show less

    • Head of Client Services

Face2Face and Mondial are part of the Dialog Group, an international group of companies. During my tenure, they were one of the largest fundraising service suppliers in Australia, with a client portfolio including the Cancer Council NSW and SA, the Heart Foundation, Plan International and Amnesty International. Reporting to the CEO, this was a senior and client-facing role. The position involved managing client expectations, maximizing revenue opportunities from existing clients and acquiring new business as well as taking a lead role in the operational aspects of the business, including leading a high performing team of 5 direct reports. • Direct Marketing Coordinator
      • Mar 2004 - May 2007

This was both an exciting and challenging time to join Greenpeace. The focus of this role was to reduce the risk of a single regular giving acquisition strategy and supplier, which delivered 90% of the organisation’s income. This involved setting up and managing a high-performing in-house face-to-face team as well as diversifying the donor acquisition strategy towards lead generation and conversion. During my time at Greenpeace, I also took part in protests and non-violent direct action (NVDA), attended leadership training and international fundraising skill-shares as well as volunteering for and participating in Greenpeace fundraising and supporter engagement events. DialogueDirect was part of the Dialog Group and was one of the largest fundraising service providers in the UK. Clients included Greenpeace, Barnardo’s, The Children’s Society, the NSPCC, Age Concern, MENCAP, Concern, Amnesty International and the RNLI. Initially reporting to the CEO, this was a client-facing role in a period of enormous growth for the company. I was responsible for 40% of the portfolio, including several key accounts. I played a key role in assisting the CEO to grow the business from one client (Greenpeace) to become the UK’s largest F2F supplier. Show less

    • European Product Manager
      • Jul 1999 - Jun 2000

This was a year placement as part of my degree. I coordinated the production of a 1000+ page colour IT catalogue. Originally produced in German, I was responsible for producing the English language version for the UK and US market, including translation, printing and production. The catalogue was printed and distributed biannually and I also maintained and updated an online version. Whilst this did not become my chosen career path, it was a great experience to work overseas for a year in a Marketing role. Show less
