During my Master's degree I worked part time at Treestle, mostly as a front end web developer. I first started by curating HTML and CSS on their website, moving then to the creation of a JavaScript user interface for their web application, for which I used Angular JS. In later stages I also started managing the PHP backend on an Nginx server. Other than these main tasks, I had the occasion of working on some of the company's side-projects, the most interesting of them being: an HTML Canvas game about load balancing; a JavaScript application that pulls data about the company's network from the RIPE Atlas REST API and displays the results on a color-coded world map; a small PHP blog that let people write content on the website without the need to touch the code and had basic search and tagging functions. The final step of my Bachelor's degree consisted of an internship in a local company, where I acted as a full stack Java EE developer. I had the task of creating a single section of a much more complex managerial web application, taking care of all its aspects, from the Java backend, with an SQL interface and LDAP authentication, to the JavaScript frontend, as well as the AJAX interaction between the two. The server side was written using Spring Framework, running on a Tomcat server, which presented the pages through Java Server Faces and PrimeFaces. Show less

This was a summer job at a company that sells, installs and maintains home automation systems, as well as providing technical assistance with small networks and personal computers. I did some computer repairs (mostly software) and I also had the luck of assisting to the installation and configuration of some brand new home automation systems. While I didn't install them myself, I helped with running the wires and programming some procedures, while I observed the configuration process of the systems and of all the sensors, cameras and other devices that the they managed.
