Work in a Residential Treatment Facility for children and adolescents with mental health diagnosis and behavior problems as the lead Behavior Analyst. I designed and supervise the implementation of the facility behavior modification system while also working with the staff and families of these children to educate them on behavior analytic strategies to decrease problem behaviors and increase prosocial and appropriate behaviors. When necessary, I conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments and implement Positive Behavior Intervention Plans for those individuals engaging in severely aggressive, self-injurious and/or destructive behaviors. I also developed user-friendly data tracking forms to document the patient’s maladaptive and positive behaviors, and I log, graph and analyze data for all 64 patients to monitor progress. Show less

I was the District Behavior Specialist of 8 schools in the Manatee County School district. I worked with both General Education and ESE students in Elementary, Middle and High School, helping with the implementation of a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) with the primary focus of addressing challenging behaviors. I helped to develop and support school wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Strategies (PBIS), I supported teachers by developing and training them on classroom behavior management systems and supports that are effective and user-friendly, and I conducted Functional Behavioral Assessments and developed Behavior Intervention Plans for students who needed individualized behavioral supports due to unsafe or problematic behaviors. Additionally, I assisted in streamlining the processes for data collection and documentation of interventions and follow ups so that less time would be spent in meetings and more time could be spent directly supporting teachers and students.
