In particular I was responsible for the following areas: - financial instruments (FIs): assessment, set up, implementation of FIs to stimulate research and innovation investments of SME's (activities in collaboration with the European Investment Bank); - simplifications for beneficiaries: acting as a member of the inter-institutional working group "Simplified cost options" in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and under the supervision of the European Commission. The group aims to develop a national methodology to determine a standard scale of unit costs for research and innovation projects; - development of research and innovation initiatives within the framework of the National Research and innovation Programme 2014-20.   Since 2016 is a member of the national committee of financial instruments (FIs) representing the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research. The committee is made up of representatives of Ministers, Regions and other national authorities with the aim of supporting the deployment of FIs using the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) during the 2014 -2020 programming period.Since 2016 is a member of the "Regio Communities of practitioners"​ established by the European Commission DG REGIO, a group with members from different Member States which focus on finding solutions on specific issues linked to the implementation of the programmes and projects funded under ESIF.Since 2016 is a member of the inter-institutional working group established by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers which aims to realize a Smart cities initiative in the context of the national and European strategy to stimulate Cities, Universities and enterprises to address key challenges in the field of energy, environment, safety and mobility.From October 2015 to June 2016 is a member of the working group on synergies between European Structural and Investment Funds and Horizon 2020 Union programmes.
