My team and I were the first to apply natural language processing techniques to a large and unstructured digital archive of American Prison Writing created by Dr. Doran Larson. Our most recent conference paper was "Creating Sensory Conditions Inside of US Prisons using Hypernym Extraction". For the College of Education I analyzed longitudinal student exam performance data and the effect of value-added modeling in teacher assessment. I completed evaluation research centered on educational administration development programs. I also performed ethnographic studies in Chicago schools, compiled department literature reviews and presented at academic conferences. Show less
