Nick is the first manager, I have ever had, that took the time, to learn what motivates and drives me. He helped me develop skills I never knew I had. He didn’t start as my direct report. We didn’t even see eye to eye, on a few things, early on. I had been conditioned by a fairly toxic environment. Despite that, and other management telling him incorrect information about me, he identified that I was in the wrong role. He fought hard to get me into a new one; as part of his team. Even though I was a loyal employee for many years, my value is only just starting to be realised. Nick become a mentor to me and someone I could trust.
