As the owner of one of South Australia’s leading strategic branding agencies, I see our work as equipping and evolving brands for long-term success through careful and detailed planning. I’m committed to developing communications solutions that provide the greatest return on investment for our clients through a rigorous and highly strategic process that has evolved over the past 18 years. I take great pride in the innovative, professional and results-driven culture that has been nurtured at Nicknack. This is the foundation upon which we have built a reputation for providing effective marketing communications solutions for international brands (Nike, Sesame Street and Getty Images), national companies (Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, Rural Bank, Gametraders, Hamilton Pharmaceuticals) as well as local organisations (Defence SA, Adelaide City Council, Department for Premier and Cabinet). It’s also deeply satisfying to see our work being recognised at the highest international levels with several Distinction awards won at the Rebrand 100 competition over the past few years. Show less

I had begun working for Nike on a freelance basis while still in Hong Kong and continued delivering projects for them after I moved to Sydney in 1997. After about 10 months of freelancing on various projects, Nike offered me a full time Design Manager role at their worldwide headquarters in Portland, Oregon. I was now responsible for retail brand communications across the Asia Pacific region and spent the next year managing regional retail initiatives. During this time I gained extensive knowledge and experience in strategic branding, while integrating regional print, TVC and digital campaigns into the retail environment. This involved implementing corporate brand guidelines and maintaining consistency in both, Nike managed retail spaces and multi brand, environments The position also required me to lead a team of contractors, including design and production partners, to change out multiple seasonal campaigns across permanent long term and short term graphic displays. Delivering retail initiatives on budget across diverse cultures and demographics of the Asia Pacific region was a constant, yet enriching, challenge. Show less

At Star TV, Hong Kong, my primary responsibilities were to create and maintain corporate brand guidelines for Star TV and maintain them across all corporate communications and collaterals. This included the creation of channel brand identities that could be translated for on-air and offline applications, with comprehensive guidelines for deployment across pan-Asian markets (primarily China, the Philippines and India). I was also responsible for creating print advertising, OOH concepts, brochures and print collateral to promote a range of Star TV’s products, namely Sky News, Channel [v], Phoenix channel, Star Movies and Star Sports.
