In this position I had the great joy of learning new software’s which otherwise would have remained foreign to me, this exposure allotted me a greater repertoire of software knowledge. As an interior design intern I was responsible for knowing every detail about our products and the process we use to develop a client’s desire. We had jobs ranging from small scale residential projects to larger scale multi-purpose commercial spaces. Learning about the industry and collaborating with local professionals worked to truly facilitate my intrigue and desire for the detail oriented scale of interior design. I hope to utilize these skills in the future to become a completely well rounded designer and a proficient practitioner in the design field.

    • Intern and Project Coordinator
      • May 2010 - Aug 2012

At Plageman I was responsible for the beginning stages of multiple projects. Mostly using SketchUp, CAD, Rhino, and other software’s to create a beginning understanding and overview of a project for a client. With these duties came many facets of planning and coordination. Making sure the project is on schedule while editing and altering the design for client confidence and project growth. One of the more fruitful parts of my position was meeting with clients and the beginning stages of the design process. Overall the experience was a true insight to the professional field and found that the practice has much to teach me. I’m eager to meet with new clients in the future and in becoming proficient in my craft and enveloping all software’s and tools that I can utilize.
