Excelcare is a family owned care business which has been established for over 25 years. Our vision was to continually be a leading provider of high quality care which exceeds the expectations of the people living within the service. I actively promoted the independence of the homes residents, by assessing and implementing appropriate levels of care required by the homes residents while supervising the effective care of all residents by carers through working alongside them and assessing and managing their performance. Maintain effective communication with the Home Manager by reporting appropriate information as necessary in a timely manner. I have a desire to work with the elderly and dementia care and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, highly empathic, non judgemental and person centred in my approach to people.Working at Dovecote Manor for Excelcare Holdings allowed me to gain experience of working with older people. I gained my Level 3 diploma in health and social care which allowed me to become a team Leader which led me to be able to supervise staff and to also ensure that a high quality of care was being delivered to all residents. I was responsible for managing the scheme and meeting agreed work objectives while having a good understanding of the Care Act 2014
