This role involved moving through all departments of the company to obtain a complete understanding of both the production process, and the operations and objectives of all office based departments. Spending a prolonged period within the customer service department, the interaction with customers on a day to day basis and constant use of the order management system and management information console gave me a great understanding of the management of workflow through the company. A 4 month project team concluded this scheme where I conducted a full investigation and analysis into the costing and estimating systems within the business. This project gave valuable insight into the general cost rates of a business in general, and upon conclusion a presentation was made to recommend and implement changes to improve parts of the process.
