I also perform the certification tests with sailors to ensure proper system operability prior to the ships returning to the fleet. When not on travel, I work with a small team to support the test of the new baselines at the Combat System Engineering Development Site (CSEDS) in Moorestown, NJ. The highlight of this job is working with the sailors, knowing that we are delivering a quality product so they can protect us safely.

As the RI of a small team, I removed obstacles that impeded our successful completion of sprint tasks. If all tasks were not met, I promptly informed the Scrum Master. Other than working in a small team, my favorite part of this job was Program Increment (PI) planning and using JIRA to track it. I also have familiarity with Confluence, SQL, ICDs, and IDDs. It puts each task in perspective when you know the end goal and the path that is required to get there.
