Contracting / Construction Site Supervisor I have worked on various construction sites and motorway schemes. I have learnt basic setting out and levelling skills with this employer. I can now organise and put together a scheme health & safety file with the relevant risk assessment and method statements. My daily tasks would be to open up the site in the morning and ensuring all operatives are there on time. Carry out site inductions for new arrivals and sub-contractors. Issuing onsite personnel PPE and safety equipment, that is required for tasks set. Taking records of a daily diary and any other relevant information. Booking concrete, dry stone and asphalt orders and ensuring the correct quantities are delivered. Arranging materials for the daily tasks set on the programme. Another task that I’m required to do is weekly reconciliation sheets, this records a total running cost for the scheme, who has been working on site, what materials and external plant have been received. I have learnt a lot of new skills over the past two years, from out on site experience and training courses. I also carry out a weekly timesheet for all operatives on site, which has to be filled in and returned to the office. Toolbox talks and safety alerts have to be relayed back to the operatives. I also have to complete four health & safety audits per month. A monthly health & safety meeting is held at our head office, which I have to attend and have an input in. I also have good interpersonal skills, which allows me to communicate with people on all different levels. Supervise the day to day running of a construction site.
