Remote Site Support Engineer | PLC Management
-
2013 - 2015
One of the most exciting times in my career was working for Simcoa who make high-grade semiconductor silicon and Newmont Corporation who produce among other things copper and gold. The mining and manufacturing industries have always interested me, the work is challenging as every solution demands perfect design, implementation, and absolute precision engineering. During this time I also became licensed for advanced construction and demolition rigging, working at heights, EWP and confined space, this allowed me to work autonomously around mine sites.

I started during summer holidays of 2007 as computer assembler, building 300 workstations for a large client tender. Over the years I continued to build high quality workstations, servers, and a wide range of other available technologies. I learnt valuable skills including advanced data imaging and recovery, virtualization, and networking. My role within the team was onsite support tech, service centre tech and machine assembly manager.
