BP Khazzan. The business objective of the Khazzan project is to develop and operate a 28.3 Sm3/d (1 bcf/d) tight gas development in Block 61, Oman. WorleyParsons were sub-contracted to assist BP with the appraisal of two gas reservoirs (Barik and Amin). A Project GIS Lead responsible for all the geospatial data capture, analysis, management and output across the project. Engineering data was captured from CAD models and converted to the project geo-database “GGS” (General Geospatial Schema) according to the specification contractually required by BP. The GGS specification applied strict data control measures to structure, projection and metadata throughtout FEED and ensured a straightforward data handover. Additionally, a web portal was implemented through ArcServer to give decision makers access to the latest engineering data via a protected internet site. Carried out numerous high level analytical assignments including flood analysis and oil spill modelling.

At 1,100 miles, it is the second longest oil pipeline in the world after Druzhba. The GIS Analyst used a bespoke GIS to manage a variety of land data such as classification and ownership, whilst also being used as an important visualization tool of DEMs and fly-throughs. Crossrail. A key infrastructure above ground railway project in the development of London and the UK. The route will connect Maidenhead in the west through central London to Shenfield in the east. The GIS Analyst played a vital role in managing over 5000 land parcels and attributes through an extremely dense urban landscape, whilst FME translation software used to fit the land data seamlessly into the Crossrail enterprise GIS.
