Planned Work Specialist, Global Contracts
-
Dec 2011 - Dec 2014
Coordinate and oversee all aspects of three primary global maintenance contracts, and facilitate various ad hoc projects as requested. Communicate with vendors, technicians, and colleagues at all levels, and participate heavily in scope development, bidding process, program implementation, and program maintenance. Valve Exercise Program: Independently designed and implemented new turnkey program for locating, raising, and exercising property-wide underground water valves. Worked directly with utility company to acquire maps of valve locations, contracted vendor to identify and geo-locate valves in the field, entered data into electronic GIS database, coordinated scheduling between multiple vendors and departments, and defined cyclical maintenance program to provide maximum valve life. Successfully located and documented over 3,000 underground valves, satisfying a new insurance requirement and delivering a precise digital map of all underground valves across WDW. Fire Correction Notification System (FCNS): Identified opportunity to assist with the correction of property-wide fire code violations by leveraging volume into a single competitive bid to deliver fixed unit pricing. Collaborated with 12 planners across all WDW parks and resorts to quantify a backlog of work and forecast future workload. Partnered with Reedy Creek Fire Department leaders and inspectors, all local properties, IT support teams, and multiple vendors to ensure efficient use of funds, resulting in a six-figure annual savings as verified by historical analysis. Managed 4th Quarter spend over the last two years; responsible for coordinating, tracking, and documenting over $500K per cycle.
