    • Facilities Manager
      • Sep 2017 - Apr 2020

Within my role at the Parish Council I was responsible for all land, assets and facilities under the ownership and operation of Hurstpierpoint and Sayers Common Parish Council. This included the acquisition of 2 large community buildings and 50 acres of parkland though deals with other local organisations. In addition to these major projects I had day to day management of 2 recreation grounds, 5 bus shelters, 140+ streetlights, village gardens, public conveniences, a cemetery and the leasing of commercial properties. I oversaw all work carried out by 3rd party contractors ranging from waste collection and cleaners to grounds maintenance and building services. I have a proven track record in delivering projects from initial scoping to completion, both on time and within budget. I had direct line management of a Maintenance Officer but often found myself deputising in the absence of the Clerk. I had budget responsibility for the largest cost centres within the council and was responsible for preparing, agendas, clerking meetings and recording minutes for a number of committees - including all recommendations to council.
