  Essential functions completed by a successful Lead Counselor include but are not limited to: Creating, facilitating, supervising, and engaging with children in multiple icebreakers and activities throughout the day. Checking campers into camp using a sophisticated online application called DASH IT and making sure all documents are properly filed. Mediating any general issues between children in addition to knowing how to properly deal with any medical situation quickly and efficiently. Having strong communication with parents to address any immediate concerns as well as prevent future dilemmas. Daily coordinating of camp schedules in addition to scheduling the coaches and assigning them a group, contacting parents, handling the campers lunches, organize weekly campers into their respective groups, reporting to the camp director frequently in order to prevent any surprises, stocking the snack cabinet, and frequently engaging with the camp to achieve overall goal of making it a fun and unforgettable experience!
