I worked with Nick for close to 8 years at FirstCare Ltd and in that time observed him to be a highly talented individual. Nick acted as FirstCare’s primary source of new business, coordinating all sales and marketing activity, managing all key partner relationships and overseeing our day-to-day opportunity pipeline. This required Nick to demonstrate a high level of resilience, commitment, forward planning, determination and hard work. At all times Nick exhibited great communication, negotiation and engagement skills, and did a fantastic job of creating new business opportunities, nurturing them through the sales process and securing successful contracts. Through a variety of avenues, including direct liaison, competitive tenders and partner relationships, Nick either met or exceeded his sales targets in every year at FirstCare, and accounted for more than 75% of all secured revenue in that time. In addition, Nick reduced the average sale length by more than 30%, making him a key figure in the rapid growth of FirstCare. This success, coupled with an excellent attitude to work, makes Nick an extremely accomplished individual.

Large organisations still don’t have all the answers to Employee Health & Wellbeing. Most have the traditional services you would be familiar with such as Occupational Health and Employee Assistance Programs, but in isolation, these aren’t always as effective as they should be. An organisation needs to fully understand what is happening with its employees’ health and wellbeing, as it is happening. It needs to be able to see what the detailed, focused data and trends are telling them in real time so that proactive, effective strategies can be put into place and changed quickly as the picture shifts. The number of organisations doing this in the UK currently and getting it right are surprisingly few.Medigold Health offer all the traditional services you are all familiar with, however that was not enough for us. As an industry leading, forward thinking innovator, we had to offer more. That bigger picture that is employee health and wellbeing had pieces missing from the jigsaw puzzle.Building Absentia - a Day One Absence Management Service from the ground up in partnership with our clients has helped them join the dots on their wellbeing strategies, whilst also reducing overall absence levels by as much as 63% and improving productivity and efficiencies by regaining thousands of working days.Employees are healthier, happier and at work and employee wellbeing is no longer a dark art organisations could never hope to master.

After our most successful year by far, FirstCare is now growing extremely quickly as the marketplace continues to recognise the expertise and knowledge that we bring to Absence Management and its importance in running a more efficient and productive organisation.
