      In this role I led the IT Department and sat on the Senior Management Team. I employed a small team and was directly responsible for the IT Budget across the business and the management of all of the IT Suppliers including enterprise agreements with Microsoft and Vodafone. I was directly involved or lead projects to enhance our business IT systems including telephone systems, data connectivity, Mobile Devices, Finance Systems and hardware.       In 2007 Drainmasters (East Anglia) was merged, along with the other founding director’s companies, into UK Drainage Network to form a single entity. As this time I assumed the role of IT Director and focussed all of my energies on the expanding needs of the larger business for appropriate and capable IT systems.I engaged a number of suppliers to provide communications links, infrastructure and software systems and employed additional staff to work within a dedicated IT Department. The company grew significantly in this period rising to approximately 50 employees. I concentrated on developing our internal systems and designed and installed IT systems including phone systems, servers and networked computers, vehicle tracking systems and mobile communications. I designed and developed an operational management application utilising a front-end client application and back end database which delivered measurable increase in efficiency and further promoted the company as a cut above its competition.
