▪ Travel and provide service work to any Horiba emissions equipment on customer’s sites. ▪ Complete system rebuilds, typically two weeks, at a customer’s site working independently or as a team replacing seals and packings, pump overhaul, performing calibrations, ensuring all customer’s needs are satisfied. ▪ On-call service calls to customer’s sites to diagnose equipment, replace any necessary parts and answer any questions needed. This includes traveling to sites the day a service call is requested. ▪ Use in-depth knowledge of electronics repair and electronic test equipment to troubleshoot service calls. ▪ Be able to read and understand flow schematics and wiring diagrams for all Horiba equipment. Critical thinking skills to understand differences in each piece of equipment and the differences in schematics and diagrams. ▪ Prepare Field Service Reports with detailed diagnosis and repairs made while on site, any preventative maintenance suggestions, labor and travel hours, parts ordered, and prepare expense reports. ▪ Practice continuing education on current and new equipment. Training conducted in groups settings and self-teaching through service manuals and documentation. ▪ Always observing proper safety training and instruction provided at customer’s sites, Bosch service contract, and at the Horiba home office. THis includes COVID protocols and training instituted by each site. ▪ Starting August 2020 have been on service contract at Bosch – Farmington Hills to provide any service support needed. Additional duties of, ordering parts, weekly maintenance, organizing additional engineering support are added to the current role. ▪ Responsible for the care and upkeep of Horiba emission measuring equipment in 7 engine dynamometers and 2 chassis dynamometers. Combined, this equipment is worth upward of $1,000,000 per cell.
