Nick has the energy and ideas to drive innovation and isn't afraid to try new things. He understands that real progress will come with a few failed tests in order to find the best solution. He is self-motivated and learns quickly. You want him on your team.

I worked with Nick for about a year while we were undergraduate research assistants in the same group -- I was in my senior year showing him the ropes while he was starting in the group and carrying on our project. Nick is fantastic. I have rarely worked with anyone that has picked things up so quickly. He was always asking insightful questions and volunteering to take on difficult tasks -- and dependable to finish whatever tasks he took on. I wish we could have overlapped for more than just that one year because he would have been a fantastic guy to work with for our whole time as research assistants.
