The ‘Move It Aus - Better Ageing Grant Program’, a $22.9 million Program over two years which incentivise sports and physical activity providers to innovate and keep older Australians active. My role as the Better Ageing Manager was to develop City of Parramatta's capacity to improve the opportunities of the over 55's populations accessing health and wellbeing services; which involves: • Creating and managing over 30 Health and wellness programs targeting over 55’s population; • Building a community of over 550 registered members; • Engaging with over 2000 participants per school holiday and school term; • Authoring the “Better by the day challenge”, targeted to lower the risk of developing modifiable diseases such as: - Cardiovascular disease- Type 2 Diabetes- Certain type of cancers- Hypertension - Depression - Osteoporosis- Alzheimer’s- Dementia • Administering the transition of 150 over 55’s members from offline to online in response to COVID (e.g. teaching the community to use online platforms such as Zoom to access classes); • Collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders; • In charge of advertising and marketing to promote the exercise programs under the Better Ageing Grant; and• Managing complaint according to ESSA and AUSactive guideline
