Nov 2016 - Feb 2018
Over the 2016/2017 summer I interned at Syft Technologies. Syft produces instruments which are ground-breaking chemical analytical tools specialising in trace volatile analysis. Initially my internship was centred around production of these machines including assembling and tuning machines to ensure they would detect chemicals as expected. At the end of my internship I continued with Syft part time while studying. Over the 2017/2018 summer I moved into a development role and worked on a variety of projects including design and testing work of the next generation instrument hardware, user interface design and and implementation of new business systems.

Over these years during summers and term breaks I worked in the busy Market Kitchen Café and Stratosfare restaurant. This job involved working at the till, making coffee and other drinks, waiting and clearing tables. This role required me to step up into leadership roles at Skyline's busiest time of the year, including lead the cafe team through, at the time, its day of highest ever turnover. It also taught me a lot about how to provide exceptional customer service. Over these years during summers and term breaks I worked in the busy Market Kitchen Café and Stratosfare restaurant.
