Organised a new inter-university robotics competition (sumobotrules.icrs.io). Ran several competition teams, and organised sponsorship and funding for these teams. Helped members with their own personal projects.Aided junior committee members with their roles, in particular the new lab manager during H&S audits and GDPR changes.

Developed a laser-scan processing node using PCL (C++) and ROS, with a Hokuyo laser scanner to measure and predict surface normals of a wind turbine blade in real time. Tested the software on a real wind turbine blade with successful results. Set up EKF for odometry and IMU sensor fusion, in preparation for future autonomous localisation. Also worked with a small team to improve and develop the whole system controller structure, leading several meetings. Also generally worked on robot hardware and software issues. Helped run a stand at the Global Offshore Wind 2019 trade show on behalf of BladeBUG in order to gain interest from potential investors and industry partners.
