As Head of Members Events at Chatham House Nick was a collaborative, committed and innovative colleague. Throughout his tenure we were able to drastically expand the number of events and event types available to Chatham House members as part their events package thanks to his strategic planning and dedication. Nick proved excellent at building relationships across the institute and particularly with our Embassy and High Commission members in order to ensure we could respond quickly to world events, while engaging top level expertise and speakers. Nick also had a big impact on our next generation and EDI activity, ensuring that the engagement of schools; young people; different socio-economic backgrounds and gender diversity was prioritised across our event panels and audiences. I found him to be an impressive stakeholder manager, who was always willing to collaborate with my team to ensure our membership offering remained competitive and a cut above our peer organisations. Nick was held in high regard by the Chatham House members who he worked hard to engage and listen to in order to help us retain them. Head of Members Events at Chatham House is a very public facing role that involves engaging a complex range of stakeholders. He handled this well and we saw a step change internal collaboration; members participation in events; and the quality of event delivery during his time.

Nick has been a great colleague. He was pivotal to the success of our team and brought in many changes that had a hugely positive impact. He’s also makes work lots of fun and is a genuine pleasure to work with.
