www.thephysiospot.co.nzPhysio Spot is an Ākina Certified Social Enterprise aimed at improving equity. We deliver high quality Physiotherapy services to communities who experience barriers to accessing services. Physio Spot delivers Physiotherapy services at 50% full fees for students and Community Service Card holders. As well a fee from each service goes to a fund which funds equity projects. Our first equity project is our Transgender and Non-Binary Service. We fund initially 3 sessions of Physiotherapy with a GP referral. Our service is aimed at gender affirming Physiotherapy. Our aim is to secure sustainable future funding and to build a network of providers capable of delivering high quality and culturally appropriate Physiotherapy for the LGBTQI+ community.We have other equity projects in the pipeline.

Dr Highet is an internationally recognised Sports and Exercise Medicine Physician and mentor. The centre hosts a range of specialists including orthopaedic specialists, a rheumatologist, podiatrists, massage therapists, and strength and conditioning specialists.The service is based at the ASB Sports Centre near the airport in Wellington and the purpose-built space is shared with High Performance Sport New Zealand and Pacific Radiology.

From time to time I consult on projects related to fall prevention initiatives with working-aged and older adults; rehabilitation gaming; technology applications for rehabilitation settings.Projects:Collaborated with VicLink (Victoria University's commercialisation group) on health-related projects.
