Using a combination of statistical analysis, expert opinion and speed, I led a small team of forecasters who strove to have the right product, in the right place, at the right time, at the lowest cost.We utilised Demand Works Smoothie, Microsoft Dynamics AX and Power BI in our best attempt to predict future demand. The highlight was keeping the team together in a tough environment, and being able to balance the benefits of developing a consistent process, whilst also being able to turn on a dime when the pandemic hit. We were forecasting during not just the opening months of the pandemic, but also through multiple lockdowns. On some days we would adjust the forecasts of hundreds of items in an afternoon as the building industry swung between boom and lockdown. Show less

During the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX for Beaumont Tiles, I was the ERP Implementation Test Lead for Procurement and Inventory Management. During this period I also helped to implement EDI with freight forwarders and suppliers, using Data Masons and SPS Commerce. It didn't feel like it at the time, but with the benefit of hindsight, I realise how valuable these tough projects were for the business, and for my professional experience and growth.
