When I initiated an idea to cycle around the world in 2010 "Bike the Earth", Nick was fulsome and supportive of the venture, and made available a HaveBike trailer for the expedition. The trailer enabled us to carry a computer, projector, speakers, in addition to the other necessary equipment. A colleague and I set off from south Australia in mid 2010 and after cycling a few weeks northwards we realised we would have to slow down to be able to lead community-building workshops more effectively. Over the next 15 months the expedition reached mid Indonesia, with over 100 community workshops given. I paused the expedition in August 2011 and left the HaveBike trailer in Jogjakarta (Java, Indonesia) with the local cycle action group who used it to take food parcels around the city to feed the poor. Without Nick's generous support, our cycle expedition would have been much more difficult to organise. Many thanks!
