Working alongside the then Managing Director of Sales and Marketing I became more involved in solicitor and broker liaison, attending meetings and developing long lasting relationships with new and existing contacts. As part of the Audit and Debt management team I was involved in auditing firm’s caseloads, looking at a cross section of our panel solicitor firms and working with struggling firms and administrators in relation to legacy premium debt.   Having moved into the underwriting department, I developed skills further in relation to the running, handling and assessment of Personal Injury Legal Expenses claims themselves, including the principles of the claims process in line with the CPR. At the same time as being an underwriter, I was regularly called on for ‘other projects’ with department and senior managers. These included new product development, compiling presentations for sales and business meetings with potential new clients, both solicitor and broker/introducers and also in the provision of management information.
