In my time at Minority Media I’ve used my expertise in rapid development and prototyping to kick off a number of projects. I’ve had the experience of leading teams of various sizes and carried games through all stages of development: from working with creative directors to develop fresh new IPs to polishing and shipping high-quality products. I’ve spent the last two years exploring the possibilities of the latest technological advancements in Virtual and Augmented Reality for both gaming and educational uses. I led the development team of the first ever VR language learning game, Niwîchewákan, and also programmed the entire thing on my own. The project was incredibly well received by students and teachers alike and is currently nominated for Best Interactive Experience at the upcoming Numix Awards 2017. My work in education extends into the teaching of Game Development itself. Through my work with The Niikaan Project I rewrote and revitalized the curriculum for the instruction of design and programming to high-schoolers in native communities as well as gave talks on how to break into the industry.
