Nick has been assigned lead over a messaging platform that facilitates communication between care professionals and the patient, as well as family and friends connected to the patient to create a support network leading to better outcomes in the coming weeks and months after they leave the hospital. This technology is built with Ruby on Rails, following best practices and a solid test driven development approach. It utilizes many sub systems that can be found on Github. Ones of note are Rubocop, Coffeescript, Rspec, DelayedJob, Postgres, Aasm, Prawn, Sass, jQuery, Devise, Pundit, Twilio, Mandrill, and Whenever for background jobs. It has been a great opportunity to hone expertise in each of these wonderful tools.
