  My time with Control Risks Group was spent on the BP contract on South Rumaila Oil field in Iraq. My position was as a Close Protection Officer and Medic working on a rotation of 8 weeks on, 4 weeks off. Responsible for planning, coordinating and managing routes, systems and personal duties to ensure effective management for in-depth operations conducted throughout the Rumaila oil field and Basra region. Controlled immediate risk assessments and instigated initial response to security and safety-related incidents involving client's personnel and employees. Actively led and managed multi-national team members in performance of operational duties, co-ordinated professional development, conducted management performance reviews and ensured the team adhered to company legislative safety policies. Instructed and trained multinational team members in organisational protocols and procedures. Fostered professional relationships with local authorities and maintained effective lines of communication. Achieved substantial experience in client's organisational safety protocols. Gained a thorough working knowledge of the oil & gas industry. Taking clients to water treatment plants, degassing stations, drill sites, wellheads and various other sites at which I over watched.
