  The Country Director has responsibility for leading the APTC Vanuatu & Nauru country office to drive TVET strengthening and supporting labour mobility across the region.The Country Director will be politically astute and well-connected in the Pacific. In this role you will have a sound understanding of the local context and enhanced capability for ‘thinking, working politically’. You will ensure continued quality delivery of training programs most relevant to national and international labour market needs whilst engaging nationally and negotiating partnerships and coalitions with stakeholders interested in and critical to, reform of TVET.The Country Director will work cohesively as part of the APTC Executive Leadership Team and has overall responsibility for ensuring the successful operation of APTC against its goals and objectives, including discussion with DFAT and other key stakeholders on the strategic and longer-term direction for TVET provision.   The Vocational Training Manager (VTM) will manage the delivery of Australian qualifications and skill sets in the countries of responsibility ensuring high quality delivery and regulatory compliance whilst driving a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in vocational training delivery practice.The VTM will seek to deliver joint training with local institutional partners and will manage training delivery capacity building activities with partner training providers and any third-party arrangements between partner training providers, TAFE Queensland, and TVET partners as directed by the Country Director and Chief Academic Officer.The VTM will identify and support the business development activities, creating incentives and marketing opportunities for co-investment to achieve mutually agreed TVET system strengthening objectives to improve sustainability of APTC.
