I was most employed by Mitie Group PLC, where I worked on behalf of the NHS as a Covid 19 Test Assistant. Working in this role has been at times challenging and stressful but ultimately it has been thoroughly rewarding. Myself and my colleagues were made redundant from this position with the end of free PCR testing in Wales. In 2019 I joined McColl's Retail Group as a store manager and was assigned a busy store based in Abergavenny. As the store manager, I also acted as a Post Office Manager, as our store sub contracted a Post Office Counter. I have managed up to 10 team members at a time, including sales assistants, supervisors and a deputy manager. I worked to very strict expectations, running the retail side of my business and the Post Office side simultaneously, liaising with each area manager regarding the running of each part of the store on a regular basis. I was also responsible for recruiting new team members, training them, and where necessary administering feedback. Through our combined hard work the store I managed ran as the most profitable store versus its allocated budget in the whole south-west region of the country within the company. As a store manager, I am proficiently trained in managing store accounts, invoicing, stock management, cash control and maintaining personnel files, I was also responsible for working on a multilevel basis with my staff and higher management, whom I worked with to adhere to strict store expectations regarding paperwork and records. Through this role, I have developed an impeccable attention to detail in administration and developed my interpersonal skills to a very high standard. Show less

I worked within Admiral Insurance, as a new business consultant. This role was in the sales department, and I was responsible for setting up new insurance policies. I spoke directly with customers and often worked under a lot of pressure dealing and closing sales with large amounts of clients money. This has definitely given me more confidence, developed my interactions skills and helped develop my IT literacy further. Most important of all it has greatly helped me with how I work to achieve varying outcomes. In such a competition commission based sales environment, sales goals were always at the forefront of my personal aims. Show less

I have previously spent time with Working Word PR, in Neptune Court Cardiff Bay. My time with Working Word gave me huge insight into working life, and acting as a team member in a condensed office environment. I gained insight into public relations and press release, and was able to gain skill in formal phone call marketing, creating and updating information data bases, and monitoring public social media profiles. Whilst there I also wrote and published several press releases for different clients. Show less
