  I manage electronics production with oversight in test, repair, R&D, and QC. I repair and upgrade the production machines, coordinate purchasing with production, and redesign electronics for manufacturing. I'm the management representative for ISO and have solely developed the ISO system for our company. I travel to Infocomm (our industry's largest trade show) each year to help market our company and develop industry contacts. I've had success in leveraging my robotics background in electronics manufacturing. Recently, I've brought stereolithographic 3D printing to our company. So far, I've used it to replace expensive machine parts, create fixtures, and I'm currently designing a showpiece product housing for a trade show. Show less

• Rework Specialist, AOI Technician, and Automated Assembly Technician

  I started out through hole soldering, but quickly learned to run the AOI (Automated Optical Inspecctor). I also learned SMT rework under a microscope. My main duties for the first few years were running the AOI and doing the more difficult SMT rework. In the later part of this period, I learned how to run the automated assembly line and was a supplemental Assembly Technician. For the most part, I self-taught myself these positions in my free time. My background is in robotics, so most of what I learned came intuitively from past experience, which explains my accelerated career track. Show less
