The POCIS-I Information Systems Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, management and provision of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) equipment, security and personnel at the unit level in the maritime environment. POCIS-I4 duties include:1. Manage and co-ordinate network support by:a. Determining, prioritising and reporting ICT communications requirements.b. Ensuring optimal ICT functionality to enable timely and accurate dissemination of information.c. Assigning resources and providing managerial oversight to support service rectification and diagnosis.d. Ensuring ICT requests are responded to in a timely manner by subordinates.e. Delegating administration tasks to appropriate network supervisors.f. Releasing communications reporting signals.g. Co-ordinating appropriate maintenance periods and ICT event resolution with relevant stakeholdersh. Optimising and de-conflicting ICT requirements.i. Escalating and resolving network service disruptions.j. Liaising with all stakeholders to inform them of ICT limitations, repercussions of faults and alternate ICT methods available.k. Ensuring implementation of training plans for CIS-I and CIS Skill Grade 2-3 sailors.2. Provide support to command aims by:a. Ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of data information.b. Providing services in accordance with command priorities3. Ensuring ICT equipment is accounted for and maintained.4. Perform the duties of primary COMSEC Account Manager5. In the absence of the CIS-C4 or C5 sailor, ensure CIS-C3 sailors are planning for, and conducting CIS-C duties.
