Most of my time here was spent working on a large double geared bascule bridge. I analyzed the design sheets and checked for calculation errors in a MathCad sheet that contained all of the calculations for failure analysis of the bridge. I also designed a staircase for the gear house in MicroStation. I assisted in putting together all of the plans for this project into a packet that could be easily reviewed by other engineers which was then reviewed for stamping by a professional engineer… Show more Most of my time here was spent working on a large double geared bascule bridge. Besides the bascule bridge, I reviewed various bridge and road plans to ensure that the material quantities were correct and made note of any errors that needed to be corrected. After the quantities were verified I assisted in the review of costs associated with each project to ensure that each project bid was correct. I also assisted in the creation and submittal of bids for private and government projects. Show less Most of my time here was spent working on a large double geared bascule bridge. This internship was done in the summer between my Junior and Senior year of college. This summer was spent assisting Professional Engineers in FEA Analysis of various offshore structures. Most of the work that I completed was failure analysis of lift-lug pad eyes. This was done via MathCad. I input the necessary values into previous MathCad sheets as well as created some MathCad sheets from scratch to do these calculations. I also did Solid Works failure analysis on various beam… Show more This internship was done in the summer between my Junior and Senior year of college.
