      The Chiltern Firehouse is a 5-star luxury, 26-bedroom boutique hotel in Marylebone, London. The award-winning Chiltern Firehouse Restaurant and Bar are international destinations within the London Hospitality scene.During the pandemic, navigating through the ever-changing guidelines from the government and the various lockdowns, I was the sole HR Practitioner for the Company. I managed the running of redundancy process from start to end, including two collective consultations, advising managers on selection criterion and supporting them with at risk and termination meetings. I advised managers on the use of the flexible furlough scheme introduced by the government ensuring that staffing levels were appropriate and encouraging them to rotate staff allowing everyone an opportunity to get back to work where possible. In addition, I chaired weekly catch ups with Heads of Departments to ‘check in’ on them and brain-storming solutions to keep their teams engaged whilst on furlough. Upon clarity from the Government with reopening dates in 2021, I worked closely with the Managing Director and Operations Manager on developing an onboarding/re-boarding program for staff that priortised mental health and wellbeing on their return to the workplace, incorporated with “our new ways of working”
