Learning: PIT Trainer
-
Sep 2016 - Mar 2019
JFK8 Staten Island, NY (Sept. 2018-March. 2019) Learning: Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) Trainer JFK8 was my 3rd warehouse launch with Amazon, my job as Learning PIT Trainer was mostly the same as it was at TEB3 but at this site, I taught well over 300 classes by myself. There were no Ambassadors to delegate work to until months into the launch of the site. TEB3 Logan, NJ (Sept. 2017-Sept. 2018) Learning: Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) Trainer As PIT Trainer it’s my job to oversee training done on the PIT by my crew of PIT Ambassadors. To also ensure that safe practices are passed on to associates who are: learning a new PIT, in need of a re-train, or a new hire. As a member of the Learning Team, I act as a support to the rest of the warehouse; Keeping track of TDR training, helping on the docks when needed, and being accessible to the associates who may have questions. ABE8 Florence, NJ (Sept. 2016-Sept. 2017) Ambassador, Problem Solver, Engagement/Activities Committee. As an Amazon Ambassador, I’m responsible for training new warehouse associates by showing them the proper way Amazon would like their work to be done and leading by example. Problems solving is a big responsibility, not everything in the warehouse goes smoothly. When a box doesn’t work, using a laptop, I have to go into the warehouse systems and try to figure out what the reasoning is. Using quick reasoning and knowledge about the job helps with making these decisions correctly and quickly as possible. As an ABE8 Activities Committee “ROC Star,” I help the HR department with morale-building activities we provide for our fellow associates. I also help rely on notifications from HR to the associates, and vice versa. Out of all the groups I’ve trained, I can conservatively say that I have trained 6 associates who have become either an Ambassador or Problem Solver. I have also helped recruit 4 ROC Stars for the ABE8 Activities Committee. Show less
