Qualifications: • 5 years of experience in a hands-on Network Engineering role with a focus on Cisco technology. • 3+ years of experience in customer facing support, consulting, pre-sales or related field. • Advanced knowledge of network security. • Strong understanding of network architecture and design with proficiencies with BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EIGRP, STP and other protocols. • Strong customer service orientation. • Ability to quickly assess and resolve conflicts networking related or person. • Demonstrates a deep technical understanding of communication protocols, network components, design elements and architecture. • Excellent written and oral skills. • Practical experience defining business requirements, manage projects, and successfully implementing networking devices. • Able to work independently with minimal supervision keeping management informed with timely project status reports. • CCNP Route Switch certification. Responsibilities: • High point of escalation for the BNS team. • Required to know Routing/Switching in addition to two areas of focus with in the Cisco Borderless architecture. • Contributes to the design, planning, installation, and coordination of enterprise networks. • Configure, install, and maintain network devices (routers, switches, and firewalls, wireless). • Use network security and industry best practices. • Operational support of network infrastructures including troubleshooting and fixing outages as problems arise. • Participate in off-hours changes to address service outages and scheduled upgrades and implementations. • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records. • Stay up to date on emerging technologies and trends • Provide guidance to junior members of the team.
