• Managed and executed the economic modeling, procurement, installation, and operation of over 100 compressors in 18 months, resulting in over 1Bcf/d of gas on wellhead compression. Project added over $132MM in NPV ($66MM FCF in 12 months) at $2.00/MMBtu gas prices; DROI of 700+%. • Reduced compression cost per well by 50% on CAPEX and 75% on LOE by reassessing and changing compressor, pad, and well selection criteria. • Initiated the development of a structured set of vendor meetings utilizing a unique approach to identify compressors that were underperforming which included both downtime and compressor efficiency reconciliation, improving overall compressor program output by 5%. • Developed an SOP for coding compressor downtime which allowed operators to correctly apply downtime to either vendor or CHK, creating a basis for monthly downtime reimbursements. • Implemented an automated process to identify compressor issues using SCADA. o Created logic to flag underperforming compressors allowing field techs to prioritize work. o Collaborated with IT to develop an automated process that used SCADA to populate Ariel Performance software for real-time performance modeling. • Experienced in sound mitigation techniques. • Engineered and implemented a solution for annular flow on compression wells adding over $1MM in NPV by reducing back pressure on wells and increasing flow rate. Dec 2015 - Jul 2018
Strategic projects engineer for Permian Horizontal Operations (PAT). • Managed the implementation of programs which expanded the use of automation in PAT. This effort required coordinating efforts between Corp. SCADA, Corp. Measurement, PAT I&E, PAT Facility & Construction, IT, and PAT Operations to ensure the final product best serves the end users.• Conducted the required process engineering to diagnose PAT's well pad tester induced volumetric "shrink" that occurs when oil is measured at higher pressures. Then developed a method to model the "shrink" and worked with Corp SCADA, IT, and Production Accounting to implement an automated correction in TOW.• Provided consultation on a wide range of process, automation, allocation, and measurement issues.• Asset technical lead for multi-phase flow meters and Coriolis meters.• Modeled tank batteries (Promax) to predict gas energy content based on well zone and age to better forecast NGL production. • Developed reports and logic to predict process equipment upsets based on Coriolis meter diagnostics. Sep 2012 - Aug 2014
Provided customer service based process engineering support to all asset teams. Sized relief valves; conducted Process Hazard Analyses; simulated processing facilities (Promax & Hysys) for optimization, permits, and BTU balances.• Managed the Electrical Classification and Flare Study at the Fain Gas Plant (West Panhandle gas field).• Conducted over 20 PHAs in Eagle Ford (PSM), West Panhandle (PSM), Hugoton (PSM), and Permian.• Completed multiple facility Btu balances (using Promax) to ensure Eagle Ford facilities had acceptable measurement accuracy.
