I am Professor in the School of Geography and Deputy College Principal at the UCD College of Social Sciences and Law. My research group works on a range of projects examining the relationship between Cities, Governance and Sustainability (www.citiesgovernancesustainability.eu). My research is focused on understanding the governance of urban (re)development and its outcomes. I have a strong record in policy analysis and community engagement and significant experience in working at the policy-practice-research nexus. Previously Niamh input into the development of the National Planning Framework in Ireland, the UK2070 Commission in the UK and has recently undertaken commissioned research for the National Economic and Social Council (NESC).
