Strategic Business Development in the area of Modelling across the model lifecycle, including Digital Control (utilizing mechanistic process models for online control and development of Model Predictive Controllers (MPC)) and web deployment of models. 3. Client support and conducting software evaluations with potential clients on the application of gPROMS FormulatedProducts for a wide range of industrial application cases from pharmaceutical to mining industries, enabling the adoption of Digital Design approachs via mechanistic modelling. 4. Advise and assist in the development of other particulate modelling elements of the gPROMS FormulatedProducts tools, including solids processing capabilities (formely known as gSOLIDS) and drug product performance models (formerly known as gCOAS) for oral absorption modelling (both in-vivo and in-vitro). 5. Academic liaison for particulate processes within PSE. This role involves promoting the usage of gPROMS FormulatedProducts (gCRYSTAL, gSOLIDS and gCOAS) in academic teaching and research environments to encourage the adoption of mechanistic modelling tools.

This work involved collaborating with an external contractor Hoistech. • Observing and aiding in regular maintenance tasks, such as the lubrication of pumps, replacement of motors and valves. Deliverables and Achievements: • Developed and implemented a computerised maintenance system, using an Asset Care software package. It supported the scheduling and recording of preventive and scheduled maintenance tasks for over 5000 pieces of equipment in the local. • Developed a database for recording the service pressures of pressurised equipment, such as pressure vessels and pressure relief valves. • Aided in the preparation of risk assessments for a project concerning the replacement of a blocked 20” diaphragm valve, so that necessary scheduled maintenance on a sediment tank could be carried out. This involved the placement, by means of hot-tapping the line, and inflation of a Kevlar balloon proximal to the blocked valve, in order to stop flow in the pipe. This procedure is commonly employed in the United States by the Nuclear Power industry.
