Drive program growth by strengthening partnerships and leading operational teams to achieve case management, criminal justice advocacy, victim compensation, and grant writing/reporting goals. Launch innovative outreach, communication, and marketing initiatives to successfully poise department personnel in overcoming engagement challenges and influence the long-term strategic plan of the program. Monitor program and district resources to keep operating and program expenses aligned with a $400K budget and grant compliance reporting. Connect with non-profit organizations, law enforcement, hospitals, schools, and other victim assistance agencies to facilitate training and outreach with marginalized communities. Troubleshoot gaps in services for strategic planning purposes to improve program sustainability and expand upon current service offerings. Supported comprehensive case management and direct service to 600+ clients in Colorado state, connecting them to available resources/services in mental health, law enforcement, immigration processes, family unification, green card applications, employment agencies, and continuing education.

Victim Witness Specialist

Provided supportive services to victims and witnesses by explaining general criminal justice processes and definitions of legal terms related to their specific court proceedings. Maintained ongoing contact and communication with victims and witnesses to assist in determining availability and reduce scheduling delays in bringing cases to court. Deliver on immediate needs of victims and witnesses by enacting safety plans, managing logistics to court appearances, and coordinating referral services with victim advocacy groups, services, and resources. Generated and maintained monthly victim/witness lists for ongoing cases by ensuring contact information is accurate and current. Served as the overseer of volunteer advocates for the Domestic Violence Fast Track Program. Administered services designed to enhance coordination among agencies operating within the criminal justice system and encouraged citizen awareness/participation through public information and community education.
