Nhan worked for me as a quantitative equity research analyst in 2020 / 2021. I really enjoyed working with Nhan. He helped me put together code in Python to backtest various factors in the Australian equity market. The project was a success and I'm grateful for all of the work he put in. I was working side by side Nhan to research about stocks and ETFs on the Australian Stock Market. I was still learning Python at the time and how to apply it to sort and analyze data; Nhan assisted me in breaking down complex data sorting tasks with unique codes that he developed by trial and error. Nhan was one of the most hardworking and diligent teammates and colleague I have worked with. He was very organized with our work and timely completed all our coordinated tasks. We also worked together to retrieve large volumes of data using the Bloomberg Terminals and his curiosity to find new ways of finding specific datasets helped us achieve our results faster. Additionally, he also possesses strong Microsoft Office skills, especially, Microsoft Excel which were used to perform further visualization of the data after sorting it using Python and Nhan was very proficient with many commands on Excel which made our job easy. I would definitely recommend him for a demanding role and I am confident of his positive spillover effect in the workplace. Nhan is not only proficient with his work but is also honest and straightforward to work with.
