As a senior Telecom and Network Engineer position, I was responsible for two sessions with the IT system of the company and purchasing activities. 1. Network Responsible for network infrastructure such as LAN/ WAN based on Cisco products, firewall, VPN, and leased lines. Operation, maintenance and planning road map to ensure that the system will keep tracking with the technology regarding to investment. 2. Telecom I am responsible for voice systems including IP PBX networks, and transmission systems such as fiber optical networks and microwave links. The worth of my contribution is utilizing the voice systems to reduce the operation cost and using microwave links from shore to platforms off the coast with high bandwidth to reduce the cost of satellite links which is always a huge cost per kilobyte of data. 3. Co-operate with the procurement department of the company to supervise the procurement activity ensuring that the telecom devices, spare parts and service contracts will be implemented timely with appropriate cost.
