Also obtained authorizations if necessary.  Performed ICD-9 and CPT coding and submitted HCFA 1500 and UB04 Claim Forms using NDC Medisoft.  Generated weekly aging reports and sent collection letters to clients.  Evaluated denials to determine root cause and sought resolution with payers including Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial carriers.  Research open credits and short payment invoices for adjustment.  Increased profit margin by 20% after I took over this role.
