I love working as an academic and educator in my specialist fields, music, music journalism, creative writing, media, feminism, and theatre as part of the team at the Academy of Contemporary Music, supervising mixed Pathway undergraduates. In this role I continue to read and research my chosen fields, with a particular interest in how to mentor creatives; feminist and queer theory; the concept of musicking (Small, 2002); auditory culture; and the signs and symbols of sub-cultures. I lead the Music Journalism elective module for London and Guildford sites.

I am never too busy to be interested in current activities by women in music for women in music, or to get up on stage and shout about them myself.
