  PHA/HAZOP/LOPA Scribing and Facilitation: - provides PHA facilitation support, including scribing, preparation, and report generation - facilitated and/or co-facilitated several HAZOP, LOPA, and Inherently Safer Technology Studies/Revalidations for various chemical processes including: complex refinery units (hydrotreating, reforming, hydrofluoric acid alkylation, storage and handling, railyard loading), biogas processing units, carbon capture and recovery units, and fuel propellant testing units. Completed PHAs: - facilitated several biogas processing unit HAZOPs involving biogas collection, production, and treatment - co-facilitated and scribed for an HF alkylation unit for approx. 3 weeks: led discussions for corrosion concerns and damage mechanism reviews, and saved approx. 6 session hours by demonstrating mastery in using automation software - scribed for a hydrotreating and reforming PHA for approx. 2 weeks - facilitated a fuel propellant testing unit alongside partial development of the process safety management (PSM) program - facilitated a refinery storage and handling unit servicing heavy hydrocarbon material for approx. 7 weeks - facilitated a refinery railyard loading unit servicing LPG range material for approx. 1 week - provided facilitation support for refinery MOCs involving modernization of existing instrumentation to fired heaters and compressors - facilitated refinery MOCs involving implementation of instrumentation to mitigate risks concerning deflagration of fired heaters in a sulfur recovery unit Other Projects: - assisted in the partial PSM program development for an ammonia refrigeration system by formulating training programs, completing P&ID field walkdowns, and regulatory compliance audits - implemented dispersion modeling techniques for offsite consequence analysis (OCA) to determine potential offsite impacts of hazardous chemical release in the aerospace industry Show less
