• As a National Consultant I provided Substance Abuse and Infectious Disease Cross-Training for Collaborative Systems of Prevention, Treatment and Care is a collaborative initiative sponsored by three Federal agencies-The Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). • As a National Consultant I implemented the Cross-Training and Technical Assistance initiative to assist service providers understand more about substance abuse and infectious diseases, increase their appreciation of their unique roles in facilitating access to health care for at-risk individuals, and develop skills in brief screening, risk assessment, and behavior change. • As a National Consultant I provided Cross-Training to assists local and State agencies to better coordinate a collaborative planning process, selecting and preparing local staff to participate as co-trainers developing the workshop, and tailoring and implementing the Cross-Training to meet the State's needs.
